Beauty has always been my craft — but somewhere along the way it became something more. It started with Bloom Asia, a quiet pull toward an organisation doing extraordinary work in Cambodia, reaching women and girls trapped in exploitation and giving them a pathway to dignity, safety and a future they couldn’t see for themselves.
Then I recently travelled to Bali, and everything deepened. I felt drawn to visit Chloe Orphanage, and spending time with those children shifted something in me I can’t quite put into words. It wasn’t just a moving experience — it was clarity. These children need a forever home, and I want to be part of making that happen.
I’ve come to believe that beauty is never just surface level. It can restore confidence, shift how a woman sees herself, soften seasons of doubt and help someone reconnect with their strength, identity and sense of worth. Beauty with Purpose is my response to that belief. A commitment to ensuring that what I create in my chair extends far beyond it.
As a hair and makeup artist I see this every day. When a woman sits in my chair it is never just about the final look - it’s about how she feels in that moment and what she carries with her when she leaves.
Over the years I’ve felt a growing pull toward ensuring that the work I do creates a ripple effect beyond the chair. That what I earn and what I create also contributes to something meaningful for others who may not have the same access to opportunity, confidence, or support. This desire comes from a very personal place. Life has shaped me in ways that have made me reflect deeply on legacy, purpose and what it means to leave something behind that matters. For me, that has become less about what is built personally and more about what is shared outwardly - through kindness, opportunity and practical support.
Beauty with Purpose is my way of honouring that shift. It is a commitment to give back a portion from my work and direct it toward initiatives that support, empower and uplift others. The projects may change over time but the intention remains the same - to turn creativity and the work I love into something that has a wider impact.
I don’t see it as something separate from what I do but rather something that is naturally woven into it. A quiet, intentional way of ensuring that what is created in my chair can extend beyond it - reaching into spaces where confidence, dignity and opportunity need strengthening.
How it work
Beauty with Purpose is not a separate project or something outside of my work. It is simply a considered part of how I choose to operate and give back. A portion of my income from services is set aside to support initiatives that are doing meaningful work in the areas of confidence, dignity, opportunity and care. I choose to contribute where there is genuine alignment - whether that is through supporting community-led initiatives, responding to specific needs as they arise or quietly backing work that is creating real and lasting change.
Each project is chosen with care. I look for honesty, integrity and impact - work that is grounded in people not just systems or visibility. Where possible, I also choose to stay connected to what I support. Not in a formal way but in a human one so the giving remains personal, present and intentional rather than distant or transactional.
At its core, Beauty with Purpose is simple, it is a way of ensuring that what is created through my work also contributes to something beyond it - quietly, consistently and with care.
